Text categorization and sentence classification have been studied extensively for the last decades. Classifying biomedical texts, In particular, poses several challenges due to its complexity and training time. It was shown in [1] that simplified sentences improve the classification accuracy and reduce the required parsing time. In this work, we propose an efficient binary sentence classification model based on Random Indexing to promote sparsity in the data.
