Abstract|ملخص البحث

.Abstract Phage display technology is a powerful tool for displaying random peptide sequences on the bacteriophage coat protein. These peptides can be selected using a biopanning technique, in which the filamentous M13 bacteriophage library is enriched by iterative rounds of selection using the target/ligand of interest to yield phage expressing peptides showing specific binding to the target molecule 1,2. The aim of this study is to identify peptides capable of high affinity binding to the Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) E2 glycoprotein through biopanning, using a variety of random peptide phage display libraries, and investigating their potential to inhibit HCV entry by blockading interactions with entry receptors.
